Climate projections and impact studies over archipelagos. Canary Islands
This talk addresses the limitations of climate change scenarios in the different archipelagos due to their fragmented structure and geographical position, which means that the climate projections obtained from global models do not contain a sufficient level of detail for skateholders to make decisions on impact and mitigation measures.
To solve this deficiency, high-resolution dynamic regionalizations have been carried out for the Canary Islands for two different periods throughout the 21st century and for two different climate change scenarios. The results of these projections are presented, as well as the results of different impact studies carried out on the basis of these projections.
